The governor of Oaxaca, Salomón Jara, announced this Wednesday a restructuring of his cabinet and a new investment plan in health, water, security, and infrastructure. These measures include the creation of the Water Secretariat, which will be led by Neftalí Amigdael López Hernández. He will be tasked with investing more than 100 million pesos to build five new wells and enable water service in the San Juan Chapultepec and capital sectors. Additionally, starting next week, the state government will launch 114 medical brigades, which will tour the streets and homes of different neighborhoods to provide medical care to 140,000 people per day. "Those whose participation in the government has generated social discomfort have presented their resignation, which eliminates any possible conflict of interest that could affect the credibility and trust in the government," assured Salomón Jara. Finally, more than one billion pesos will be allocated to repair and maintain highways, streets, and rural roads. It is also expected that the supply of medicines will reach 90% in the various hospitals and health centers. Regarding security, in the coming weeks, the federal administration will hire 300 new police officers, of which 100 will join in February. The first sector the brigades will cover is the state capital, before reaching Santa Cruz Xoxocotlán and Santa Lucía del Camino. "To govern is to listen, to govern is to improve, to govern is to serve," he added. At the same time, the governor announced a high-impact plan with actions in security, health, water, and infrastructure to improve the quality of life in the different regions of the state. In this framework, the security strategy will be accompanied by the lighting of 1,000 streets in the metropolitan area in the next three months, which will have panic buttons and cameras connected to the local C5.
